Southeastern Grocers Partners with Animal Rescues
Southeastern Grocers Inc. Increases Support for Local Animal Shelters and Sanctuaries through its community bag program in honor of National Pet Month. Customers can purchase a new reusable community bag at all Fresco y Más, Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie stores to help local homeless animals while benefiting the environment. For every bag purchased, $1 will be donated to each store’s partner animal shelter organization.

Each month, stores will select a new organization to benefit from the program, including education, civics, health and wellness, hunger and disaster relief, veterans and military families. as well as membership, inclusion and diversity organizations serving the local community. Additionally, SEG will donate $15,000 in Whiskers & Tails own-brand pet food and supplies to support local pet shelters and rescues.

DoorDash Expands Gasoline Rewards Program
DoorDash has announced an extension to its Gas Rewards program to help drivers offset high fuel prices. The program also offers drivers 10% cash back on gas through the company’s DasherDirect prepaid business Visa card.

DoorDash said more than 8,600 of its drivers use the card every hour, and 74% surveyed gave the program a good rating or higher. The company will continue to monitor gas prices throughout the summer, while seeking feedback from its driver community.

Chipotle will offer free Chipotle for a year to healthcare professionals
Chipotle Mexican Grill announced it was giving 2,000 Chipotle healthcare professionals free for a year, which equates to over $1 million in total free Chipotle. The move will mark the most “Free Chipotle for a Year” awards given at any given time in the brand’s history. Fans can tag a healthcare worker on Chipotle’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter channels for a chance to win in a raffle.

Additionally, Chipotle presents the American Nurses Foundation its real change platform where guests can round up their change to the next highest dollar amount on the app or website to support nurses.

In 2021, Chipotle gave away 250,000 burritos to healthcare heroes. The brand also launched a gift card program where 10% of special e-gift card purchases were donated to the American Nurses Foundation.
