Meatball is the Cleveland Animal Protective League’s Pet of the Week

CLEVELAND – In an effort to support pet adoption, News 5 is partnering with the Cleveland Animal Protective League to bring our viewers the Pet of the Week!

Meet Meatball:

Meatball came to us through our Humanitarian Investigations Department when she was left outside in bad weather. After she arrived, we found that she was also positive for heartworm. Meatball is now available through our Homestay Program. This means that we hope she can receive her heartworm treatment in her home forever and once this is complete, the APL will finalize the adoption. Our sweet meatball has had a tough life so far, and now she’s looking for a quiet, quiet place to rest, get healthy, and snuggle up with people who love her!

Now is a good time to visit your local shelter. As adoptions dwindle, there are plenty of four-legged friends looking for a good home.
