On September 9, the Lake in the Hills Rotary Club had the great pleasure of welcoming a mixer with the Algonquin / Lake in the Hills Chamber of Commerce to provide funds to three major animal rescues.
Hoof, Woof and Meow, On Angels Wings and Bark of an Angel all received checks totaling $ 3,400 from the Rotary Club of Lake in the Hills.
These funds were raised through funds raised in beer tent jars at the Lake in the Hills Rockin ‘Rotary Ribfest July 8-11 and the Lake in the Hills Summer Sunset Fest September 3-5.
The event took place at the Jackie Gappa agency, 2112 W. Algonquin Road in Lake in the Hills. It brought together members of every animal rescue as well as members of the chamber and Rotary.
Each year, the club selects one or more organizations according to need.
This year, animal rescues were in dire need of donations as their funding has been impacted over the past year, but the number of animals they are rescuing has increased.
There is an additional need for each of the animal rescues. If you would like to donate to these rescues, go to their websites:
