RSPCA offers fun school vacations for young animal lovers

RSPCA Victoria will be offering a range of fun, engaging and educational programs for the upcoming school holidays, suitable for animal lovers of all ages.

For the first time, the programs will be available in different formats to suit a variety of audiences – including face-to-face sessions which are a great option for working parents in Melbourne, as well as virtual programs for those who prefer. participate in the comfort of their home or region.

RSPCA Victoria Education and Training Officer Belinda Marchbank said the classes, taught by professional educators from RSPCA Victoria, offer something for any interested child or animal lover.

“Our school vacation program this year will provide a great variety and choice for children, providing the opportunity to learn more about animal welfare while nurturing their love for all living creatures. There are also programs you can do as a family on special vacations for adults and children together, ”Ms. Marchbank said.

“And while there are some great free virtual options available for everyone no matter where you are, there are also some affordable face-to-face deals that would make a great Christmas present!”

The RSPCA Victoria school vacation program runs from Monday January 10 through Friday January 21, with a selection of classes provided free of charge. Paid programs will be $ 49 for children ages 5-7, or $ 85 for children ages 7-16.

Some of the programs offered include:

· Junior Barn Team Farm Visit – Welcome budding farmers to the RSPCA barn and paddocks.

· Canine Companions – Explore the many ways RSPCA Victoria helps dogs in the community and meet some of our happy dogs.

· Guinea Pig Story Time – Let’s read a book together from the Guinea Pig Pen.

· Pet First Aid – Learn how to help your pet in an emergency.

All Creature Arts and Crafts – Meet Our Animals will provide a lot of creative inspiration for aspiring artists and photographers.

· What to do for wildlife – A family session.
